iMRV Color Tables
This page contains downloadable xml files that can be imported by iMRV into the color editor. I encourage anyone working with iMRV to read this very good, short paper about color table use and selection.
iMRV colormaps are custom objects. I will be developing and providing tools to edit/generate them at a future date.
iMRV palettes are stored in the Suppdata/Palettes folder, in the proprietary IDL .sav format. These are actually archives of custom color palette objects that consist of a color table, and the linear data range applicable to the table. This has the advantage over standard approaches in that color palettes are not rescaled to the data, allowing user to produce repeatable results across visualizations and among different users.
